Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When a thief commits theft, cut off his hand; if he does it again, cut off his foot; if he does it again, cut off his hand; if he does it again, cut off his foot." Khalid bin Salamah has narrated this tradition in this manner, while other narrators have transmitted it from his maternal uncle Harith, from Abu Salamah, from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him).
