نَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الرَّهَاوِيُّ ، نَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّه ِبْنِ يَحْيَى الرَّهَاوِيُّ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ سِنَانٍ ، نَا أَبِي ، نَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسَارِقٍ فَقَطَعَ يَدَهُ ، ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِهِ قَدْ سَرَقَ فَقَطَعَ رِجْلَهُ ، ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِهِ قَدْ سَرَقَ فَقَطَعَ يَدَهُ ، ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِهِ قَدْ سَرَقَ فَقَطَعَ رِجْلَهُ ، ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِهِ قَدْ سَرَقَ فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فَقُتِلَ " ،.
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates: A thief was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he had his hand cut off. He was brought again for theft, so he had his foot cut off. He was brought again for theft, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had his other hand cut off. He was brought again for theft, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had his (other) foot cut off. He was brought again for theft, so by the order of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he was killed.
