Hadith 3360

نَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، أنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، أنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " قَضَى أَنَّ عَقْلَ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابَيْنِ نِصْفَ عَقْلِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ، وَهُمُ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى " .
Amr bin Shu'aib narrates from his father, from his grandfather: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) gave this ruling: The blood money (diyah) of both types of People of the Book (i.e., Jews and Christians) will be equal to that of the Muslims. (The narrator says) By this is meant the Jews and the Christians.
