نَا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ، نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ أَبُو عُثْمَانَ ، نَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، نَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ يَهُودِيًّا قَتَلَ جَارِيَةً عَلَى أَوْضَاحٍ لَهَا ، فَقَتَلَهَا بِحَجَرٍ ، فَجِيءَ بِهَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَبِهَا رَمَقٌ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَقَتَلَكِ فُلانٌ ؟ ، فَأَشَارَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا ، أَيْ لا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهَا : أَقَتَلَكِ فُلانٌ ؟ ، فَأَشَارَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا أَيْ لا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهَا الثَّالِثَةَ ، فَقَالَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا أَيْ نَعَمْ ، فَقَتَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ حَجَرَيْنِ " ، .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A Jew killed a girl after snatching her jewelry; this Jew killed the girl by striking her with stones. When the girl was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), there was still some life left in her. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked her: "Did so-and-so kill you?" She replied by shaking her head: "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again asked her: "Did so-and-so kill you?" She again replied by shaking her head: "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked her a third time: "Did so-and-so kill you?" She replied by shaking her head: "Yes." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had the Jew's head placed between two stones and crushed, thus killing him.
