Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A Jewish man passed by a girl who was wearing some jewelry. He (snatched the jewelry, wounded the girl, and) threw her into a well. When the girl was taken out, there was still some life left in her. She was asked: "Who killed you?" She replied: "So-and-so Jew." That Jew was brought to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he confessed to his crime. So, by the order of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he was also killed.
