Hadith 3346

نَا نَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، نَا يُونُسُ ، نَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، وَابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ، " أَنَّهُ جَلَدَ رَجُلا وَجَدَ مِنْهُ رِيحَ الْخَمْرِ الْحَدَّ تَامًّا " .
Sa’ib bin Yazid narrates: Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) had a man flogged and completed the full hadd (i.e., eighty lashes), because he detected the smell of alcohol from that man.
