حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، نَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، وَالزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَزْهَرَ ، قَالَ : " أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، بِشَارِبٍ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلنَّاسِ : قُومُوا إِلَيْهِ ، فَقَامَ النَّاسُ إِلَيْهِ فَضَرَبُوهُ بِنِعَالِهِمْ " .
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Azhar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: On the occasion of the Battle of Hunayn, a man who had drunk alcohol was brought before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the people: "Beat him." So the people gathered and beat him with their shoes.
