Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The injury caused by an animal (or a person dying as a result of it) is without liability; death resulting from being kicked by an animal is without liability; death from falling into a well is without liability; death from falling into a mine is without liability; and payment of one-fifth (khums) is obligatory on buried treasure (rikaz)."
