Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When I was raised from the seventh heaven to Sidrat al-Muntaha, its fruits were as large as the jars of Hajar, and its leaves were like the ears of elephants. From its root, two rivers were flowing that were apparent, and two rivers were hidden. I asked: O Jibril! What is this? He replied: The hidden rivers are in Paradise, and the apparent rivers are the Nile and the Euphrates."
