Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Associating anyone as a partner with Allah does not make anyone (a person) muhsan (protected by marriage)." In narrating this hadith as a marfu' (attributed to the Prophet) narration, the narrator named 'Afif bin Salim was mistaken; the correct version is that this narration is transmitted as the statement of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) himself.
