نَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ صَاعِدٍ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الْخَيَّاطُ الْمَكِّيُّ ، نَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " قَضَى بِاثْنَيْ عَشَرَ أَلْفًا فِي الدِّيَةِ " ، قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ : وَإِنَّمَا قَالَ لَنَا فِيهِ : عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مَرَّةً وَاحِدَةً ، وَأَكْثَرُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ كَانَ يَقُولُ : عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the ruling of payment of twelve thousand dirhams in blood money (diyah). The narrator named Muhammad bin Maymun states: Our teacher narrated this to us once from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), but most of the time he narrated this report as a mursal narration from Ikrimah from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
