نَا نَا أَبُو عُمَرَ الْقَاضِي ، نَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَرِيرِ بْنِ جَبَلَةَ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، قَالَ : أُتِيَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بِمَوْلاةِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ ، " فَجَلَدَهَا ثُمَّ رَجَمَهَا ، وَقَالَ : جَلَدْتُهَا بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ ، وَرَجَمْتُهَا بِسُنَّةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
Sha'bi narrates: A slave girl belonging to Sa'id bin Qais was brought before Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), who had committed adultery. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) had her flogged with one hundred lashes, then had her stoned as well. Then he said: "I have had her flogged according to the command of Allah's Book, and I have had her stoned according to the Sunnah of Allah's Messenger."
