حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُوسَى الْبَزَّازُ ، مِنْ كِتَابِهِ ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ زُكَيْرٍ ، نَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ سَلْمٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ ، نَا الْخَلِيلُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الْكِنْدِيُّ بِعَبَادَانَ ، نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أُذَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ الْغَازِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " ارْتَدَّتِ امْرَأَةٌ عَنِ الإِسْلامِ ، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُعْرِضُوا عَلَيْهَا الإِسْلامَ ، فَإِنْ أَسْلَمَتْ ، وَإِلا قُتِلَتْ ، فَعُرِضَ عَلَيْهَا فَأَبَتْ أَنْ تُسْلِمَ ، فَقُتِلَتْ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A woman apostatized from Islam, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered: "Present Islam to her; if she accepts Islam, then fine, otherwise she should be killed." Islam was presented to that woman, but she refused to accept Islam, so she was killed.
