نَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْعَبْدِ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مِرْدَاسٍ ، قَالا : نَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ السِّجِسْتَانِيُّ ، نَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ الشَّحَّامِ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، نَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ أَعْمَى كَانَتْ لَهُ أُمُّ وَلَدٍ تَشْتُمُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَتَقَعُ فِيهِ ، فَيَنْهَاهَا فَلا تَنْتَهِي ، وَيَزْجُرُهَا فَلا تَنْزَجِرُ ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ جَعَلَتْ تَقَعُ فِي النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَشْتُمُهُ ، فَقَتَلَهَا ، فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ ذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَامَ الأَعْمَى ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، " أَنَا صَاحِبُهَا ، كَانَتْ تَشْتُمُكَ وَتَقَعُ فِيكَ ، فَأَنْهَاهَا فَلا تَنْتَهِي ، وَأَزْجُرُهَا فَلا تَنْزَجِرُ ، وَلِيَ مِنْهَا ابْنَانِ مثل اللُّؤْلُؤَتَيْنِ ، وَكَانَتْ بِي رَفِيقَةً ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْبَارِحَةُ جَعَلَتْ تَشْتُمُكَ وَتَقَعُ فِيكَ فَقَتَلْتُهَا ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : اشْهَدُوا أَنَّ دَمَهَا هَدَرٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: There was a blind man whose slave woman used to speak disrespectfully about the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The man forbade her, but she did not desist. He scolded her, but she still did not desist. One night, when she again began to speak disrespectfully about the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the man killed her. In the morning, this matter was mentioned before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The blind man stood up and said: "O Messenger of Allah! I am the owner of this woman. She used to speak disrespectfully about you. I forbade her, but she did not desist. I scolded her, but she still did not desist. I have two children from her, who are like pearls. She was my companion (beloved). Last night, she spoke disrespectfully about you, so I killed her." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bear witness, her blood is wasted."
