نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، نَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَمِينَةَ . ح وَنا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْقَطَّانُ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ كَرَامَةَ ، قَالا : نَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، نَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ الشَّحَّامِ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، نَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، " أَنَّ رَجُلا كَانَتْ لَهُ أُمُّ وَلَدٍ لَهُ مِنْهَا ابْنَانِ مثل اللُّؤْلُؤَتَيْنِ ، فَكَانَتْ تَشْتُمُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَيَنْهَاهَا فَلا تَنْتَهِي ، وَيَزْجُرُهَا فَلا تَنْزَجِرُ ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ ذَكَرَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَمَا صَبَرَ أَنْ قَامَ إِلَى مِعْوَلٍ فَوَضَعَهُ ، ثُمَّ اتَّكَأَ عَلَيْهَا حَتَّى أَنْفَذَهُ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَلا اشْهَدُوا أَنَّ دَمَهَا هَدَرٌ " ، لَفْظُ ابْنِ كَرَامَةَ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A man had an umm walad (a slave woman who had borne him children), from whom he had two sons, both of whom were like pearls. She used to speak disrespectfully about the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The man forbade her, but she did not desist. He rebuked her, but she still did not desist. One night, the woman mentioned the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) with disrespectful words, so the man could not bear it. He took a spade and stabbed it into the woman's belly (which caused her death). When this case was presented before the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), he said: "Bear witness, the blood of this woman is wasted (i.e., there is no retribution for her killing)." These are the words of the narrator named Ibn Karama.
