نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمَارِسْتَانِيُّ ، نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ ، نَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهِيَ حُبْلَى مِنَ الزِّنَا ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، " أَصَبْتُ حَدًّا فَأَقِمْهُ عَلَيَّ ، فَدَعَا وَلِيَّهَا ، فَقَالَ : أَحْسِنْ إِلَيْهَا ، فَإِذَا وَضَعَتْ مَا فِي بَطْنِهَا فَأْتِنِي ، فَفَعَلَ ، فَأَمَرَ بِهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَشُدَّتْ أَوْ شُكَّتْ ثِيَابُهَا عَلَيْهَا ، ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِهَا فَرُجِمَتْ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى عَلَيْهَا ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ : رَجَمْتَهَا ثُمَّ تُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا ؟ ، فَقَالَ : وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَقَدْ تَابَتْ تَوْبَةً لَوْ تَابَهَا سَبْعُونَ مُذْنِبًا لَوَسِعَتْهُمْ ، وَهَلْ وَجَدْتَ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ أَنْ جَادَتْ بِنَفْسِهَا ! " .
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A woman came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who had become pregnant as a result of adultery. She said, "O Messenger of Allah! I have committed a crime deserving of the prescribed punishment, so carry out the punishment upon me." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called her guardian and instructed, "Take care of her, and when she gives birth to the child, bring her to me." That person did as instructed. By the order of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), her clothes were tightly fastened around her body, then she was stoned to death. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed her funeral prayer. It was submitted to him, "First you stoned her, and then you performed her funeral prayer?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "By Him in Whose hand is my soul, this woman has repented such a repentance that if seventy sinners were to repent, it would be sufficient for them. Can you find anyone superior to her, who sacrificed herself in obedience to Allah's command?"
