Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ten things are part of natural disposition: trimming the moustache, letting the beard grow, using the tooth-stick (miswak), cleaning the nose with water, cutting the nails, removing the hair from the armpits, removing the hair below the navel, and cleaning oneself with water after relieving oneself." The narrator named Zakariya stated: The narrator named Mus'ab said: "I have forgotten the tenth thing, but it must be rinsing the mouth." The narrator named Kharija transmitted this from Zakariya and stated: The word "Intiqas al-ma'" used in the hadith means cleaning oneself with water after relieving oneself. Mus'ab bin Shabah is unique in transmitting this. Abu Bishr and Sulaiman narrated this differently; they transmitted it from Taliq bin Habib as his own statement and did not transmit it as a "marfu'" (attributed to the Prophet) hadith.
