نَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، نَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سِنِينَ ، نَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مِرْدَاسٍ ، نَا مُعَلَّى بْنُ هِلالٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا قَوَدَ إِلا بِحَدِيدَةٍ ، وَلا قَوَدَ فِي النَّفْسِ وَغَيْرِهَا إِلا بِحَدِيدَةٍ " ، مُعَلَّى بْنُ هِلالٍ مَتْرُوكٌ.
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Qisas (retaliation) can only be taken with iron (weapons); qisas for life or anything else (any limb) can only be taken with iron (weapons)."
