Hadith 3108

نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمَطِيرِيُّ ، مِنْ كِتَابِهِ ، نَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ، نَا عَاصِمٌ ، أنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَيْسَ عَلَى الْعَبْدِ وَلا عَلَى أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ حُدُودٌ " ، الَّذِي قَبْلَهُ مَوْقُوفٌ أَصَحُّ مِنْ هَذَا ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The hadd punishment will not be carried out on a slave nor on the People of the Book." The previous narration, which is transmitted as a mawquf hadith, is more authentic than this one; and Allah knows best.
