Hadith 3101

نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْخَوَّاصُ ، نَا عَبَّاسٌ التَّرْقُفِيُّ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، نَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ النَّصْرِيُّ ، عَنْ زُفَرَ بْنِ وَثِيمَةَ ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُسْتَقَادَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ، أَوْ تُقَامَ فِيهِ الْحُدُودُ ، أَوْ يُنْشَدَ فِيهِ الشِّعْرُ " .
Sayyiduna Hakim bin Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade taking retribution (qisas) in the mosque, establishing hudud (legal punishments) in it, and reciting poetry in it.
