ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ السُّلَمِيُّ ، نَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، نَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، لا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ ، " نَهَى عَنْ ثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ وَالسِّنَّوْرِ ، إِلا كَلْبَ صَيْدٍ " .
Abu Zubair, narrating from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), says: I think he mentioned this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he forbade the use (of proceeds) from the price of a dog and a cat, except that the ruling for a hunting dog is different.
