ثنا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مِرْدَاسٍ ، نَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، نَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، بِإِسْنَادِهِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُجَهِّزَ جَيْشًا فَنَفِدَتِ الإِبِلُ ، فَأَمَرَنَا أَنْ يُنْفَذَ الْبَعِيرُ بِالْبَعِيرَيْنِ إِلَى إِبِلِ الصَّدَقَةِ " .
This narration is also transmitted with another chain; the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) instructed them to provide supplies for the army. When the camels became insufficient, he instructed us to obtain one camel in exchange for two camels from the camels of charity.
