Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed him to provide supplies for the army. Sayyiduna Abdullah narrates: At that time, we did not have any riding animals. The narrator states: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed him to purchase a riding animal on the condition that when the collector of charity (zakat) comes (after collecting zakat), the price of the riding animal will be paid. So Sayyiduna Abdullah bought a camel in exchange for two camels and a few goats, on the condition that when the collector of charity comes, the price of the riding animal will be paid. This was done under the instruction of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
