ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مِرْدَاسٍ ، نَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، نَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نَا حَمَّادٌ . ح وَنا مُحَمَّدٌ ، نَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، نَا مُوسَى ، نَا أَبَانُ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحِمْيَرِيِّ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، وَقَالَ أَبَانُ : أَنَّ عَامِرَ الشَّعْبِيَّ ، حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ وَجَدَ دَابَّةً قَدْ عَجَزَ عَنْهَا أَهْلُهَا أَنْ يَعْلِفُوهَا فَسَيَّبُوهَا فَأَخَذَهَا الرَّجُلُ فَأَحْيَاهَا فَهِيَ لَهُ " ، وَقَالَ فِي حَدِيثِ أَبَانَ : قَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ : فَقُلْتُ : عَمَّنْ هَذَا ؟ ، قَالَ : عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، هَذَا حَدِيثُ حَمَّادٍ وَهُوَ أَبْيَنُ وَأَتَمُّ.
Aban narrates: Amir Sha'bi told him this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever finds an animal whose owners are unable to feed it and they leave it to graze, then if that person takes the animal and gives it life (i.e., provides it with food), then it will belong to him." In Aban's narration, these words are also present: Ubaidullah says: I asked: From whom did he narrate this hadith? He replied: From several companions (he narrated this hadith). The narration transmitted by Hammad is clearer and more complete.
