ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، نَا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ ، نَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ أَبِي شَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ ، قَالَ : " وَهْبَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غُلامَيْنِ أَخَوَيْنِ فَبِعْتُ أَحَدَهُمَا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَا فَعَلَ الْغُلامَانِ ؟ ، قُلْتُ : بِعْتُ أَحَدَهُمَا ، فَقَالَ : رُدَّهُ " .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gifted me two slaves, who were brothers. I sold one of them. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) inquired: "What is the condition of your slaves?" I replied: "I have sold one of them." So he said: "Take him back."
