It is narrated about Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him): He called for water for ablution, then washed both his hands three times, then washed his face three times, washed both his arms three times, then wiped his head three times, then washed both his feet three times, and stated: "I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performing ablution in this manner." He also said: "Whoever performs ablution with less than this, that too will be permissible."
