ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُسْتَمْلِي ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، نَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الزَّنْجِيُّ ، نَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْبَيْلَمَانِيِّ ، عَنْ سُرَّقٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ لِرَجُلٍ مَالٌ عَلَيَّ ، أَوْ قَالَ : عَلَيَّ دَيْنٌ ، فَذَهَبَ بِي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ يُصِبْ لِي مَالا ، فَبَاعَنِي مِنْهُ ، أَوْ بَاعَنِي لَهُ " ، خَالَفَهُ ابْنَا زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ.
Suraqah narrates: I had to give some wealth to a person (the narrator is unsure whether the words are: I had to pay a debt to a person), that person took me to the presence of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), so whatever wealth I had, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) sold it to that person for (the payment). The two sons of Zayd bin Aslam have narrated different things in transmitting this.
