ثنا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ، قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ ، نَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، نَا سَلامُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " حِينَ سَارَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ لِيَفْتَحَهَا ، قَالَ لأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : اهْتِفْ بِالأَنْصَارِ ، فَقَالَ : يَا مَعْشَرَ الأَنْصَارِ ، أَجِيبُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَجَاءُوا كَأَنَّمَا كَانُوا عَلَى مِيعَادٍ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : اسْلُكُوا هَذَا الطَّرِيقَ وَلا يَشْرُفَنَّ لَكُمْ أَحَدٌ إِلا أنَمْتُمُوهُ ، يَقُولُ : قَتَلْتُمُوهُ ، فَسَارَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَفَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ ، فَطَافَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْبَيْتِ وَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ مِنَ الْبَابِ الَّذِي يَلِي الصَّفَا ، فَصَعِدَ الصَّفَا فَخَطَبَ النَّاسَ ، وَالأَنْصَارُ أَسْفَلَ مِنْهُ ، فَقَالَتِ الأَنْصَارُ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ : أَمَّا الرَّجُلُ فَأَخَذَتْهُ الرَّأْفَةُ بِقَوْمِهِ وَالرَّغْبَةُ فِي قَرْيَتِهِ ، وَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى الْوَحْيَ بِمَا قَالَتِ الأَنْصَارُ ، فَقَالَ : يَا مَعْشَرَ الأَنْصَارِ ، تَقُولُونَ : فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَتْهُ رَأْفَةٌ بِقَوْمِهِ وَرَغْبَةُ فِي قَرْيَتِهِ ، قَالَ : فَمَنْ أَنَا إِذًا ، كَلا وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولُهُ حَقًّا ، فَالْمَحْيَا مَحْيَاكُمْ وَالْمَمَاتُ مَمَاتُكُمْ ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا قُلْنَا ذَلِكَ إِلا مَخَافَةَ أَنْ تُفَارِقَنَا ، قَالَ : أَنْتُمْ صَادِقُونَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَعِنْدَ رَسُولِهِ ، قَالَ : فَوَاللَّهِ مَا مِنْهُمْ إِلا مَنْ قَدْ بَلَّ نَحْرَهُ بِالدُّمُوعِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: On the occasion of the conquest of Makkah, when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out for Makkah, he said to Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): “Call the Ansar!” So he announced: “O Ansar! Present yourselves before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).” The Ansar came, as if they had come for a prearranged meeting. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Proceed along this path; whoever tries to confront you, kill him.” Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out, Allah granted him victory, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed Tawaf of the Ka’bah, he offered two units of prayer, then exited from the door near Safa (hill), then he ascended Safa, and addressed the people. At that time, the Ansar were at the lower part of the hill. One of them said to his companion: “Now, love for his own people has been stirred in this man’s heart, and attachment to his hometown has developed.” So, regarding what the Ansar had said, Allah informed the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) through revelation. He said: “O Ansar! You have said: Now, love for his own people has been stirred in this man’s heart, and attachment to his hometown has developed.” Then he said: “Who am I? By Allah! I am truly Allah’s servant and His Messenger. My life and my death are with you.” The Ansar said: “O Messenger of Allah! By Allah! We only said this out of concern that perhaps you (peace and blessings be upon him) might separate from us.” The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “You are truthful before Allah and His Messenger.” The narrator says: By Allah! At that moment, tears were flowing from each of them down to his neck.
