ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ زَنْجُوَيْهِ ، نَا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، نَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، نَا حَبَّانُ بْنُ وَاسِعٍ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رُكَانَةَ ، أَنَّهُ كَلَّمَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ " فِي الْبُيُوعِ ، قَالَ : مَا أَجِدُ لَكُمْ شَيْئًا أَوْسَعَ مِمَّا جَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِحَبَّانَ بْنِ مُنْقِذٍ ، إِنَّهُ كَانَ ضَرِيرَ الْبَصَرِ ، فَجَعَلَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عُهْدَةَ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ ، إِنْ رَضِيَ أَخَذَ ، وَإِنْ سَخَطَ تَرَكَ " .
It is narrated about Talhah bin Yazid that he discussed with Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding some transactions (about their ruling), so Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I have not found for you anything with more allowance than what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave to Hibban bin Munqidh. His eyesight was weak, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted him to have the option to annul the transaction for three days, and if he was pleased, he could keep it, and if he did not like it, he could leave it.
