ثنا ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبَزَّارِ ، نَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ ، نَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ الزِّبْرِقَانِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ السَّبِيعِيِّ ، عَنِ امْرَأَتِهِ ، أَنَّهَا دَخَلَتْ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا فَدَخَلَتْ مَعَهَا أُمُّ وَلَدِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ الأَنْصَارِيِّ وَامْرَأَةٌ أُخْرَى ، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ وَلَدِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ : يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، " إِنِّي بِعْتُ غُلامًا مِنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ بِثَمَانِمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ نَسِيئَةً ، وَإِنِّي ابْتَعْتُهُ بِسِتِّمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ نَقْدًا ، فَقَالَتْ لَهَا عَائِشَةُ : بِئْسَمَا اشْتَرَيْتِ وَبِئْسَمَا شَرَيْتِ ، إِنَّ جِهَادَهُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ بَطَلَ ، إِلا أَنْ يَتُوبَ " .
Shaykh Abu Ishaq Sabi'i narrates from his wife: That woman went to serve Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), along with her was the mother of a child of Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), and there was another woman as well. The mother of a child of Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Mother of the Believers! I bought a slave from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam for eight hundred dirhams on credit, then I acquired him for six hundred dirhams in cash." So Lady Aisha said: "You have made a very bad deal, his (i.e., Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam's) jihad with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has become invalid, until he repents (then the ruling will be different)."
