ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، نَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، نَا حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَفَعَاهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَهَبَ هِبَةً ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ فِيهَا إِلا فِيمَا يُعْطِي الْوَالِدُ وَلَدَهُ ، وَمَثَلُ الَّذِي يَرْجِعُ فِي هِبَتِهِ ، أَوْ قَالَ : فِي عَطِيَّتِهِ كَمَثَلِ الْكَلْبِ يَقِيءُ ثُمَّ يَعُودُ فِي قَيْئِهِ " ، حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ مِنَ الثِّقَاتِ تَابَعَهُ إِسْحَاقُ الأَزْرَقُ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ ، وَرَوَاهُ عَامِرٌ الأَحْوَلُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ ، جَدِّهِ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) both narrate as a marfu’ hadith that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “It is not permissible for any Muslim to take back something after giving it as a gift, except for what he gives to his children (he may take that back). The example of the one who takes back his gift (the narrator is in doubt, or perhaps these are the words) the example of the one who takes back his donation is like that of a dog who, after vomiting, licks up its own vomit.”
