ثنا ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ، ثنا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، نَا رَوْحٌ ، نَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، أَنَّ شُرَيْحًا ، قَالَ : " لَيْسَ عَلَى الْمُسْتَعِيرِ غَيْرِ الْمُغِلِّ ، وَلا عَلَى الْمُسْتَوْدِعِ غَيْرِ الْمُغِلِّ ضَمَانٌ " .
Qadi Shurayh narrates that the person who takes something on loan (for temporary use) and the person with whom something is deposited as a trust, are not liable to pay compensation, except if they are deceitful (then the ruling will be different).
