ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مِرْدَاسٍ ، نَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، نَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، نَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ أُنَاسٍ مِنْ آلِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يَا صَفْوَانُ هَلْ عِنْدَكَ مِنْ سِلاحٍ ؟ " ، قَالَ : عَارِيَةً أَمْ غَصْبًا ؟ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ .
Ata reported from some members of the family of Abdullah bin Safwan that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "O Safwan! Do you have any weapons?" He replied: "Are you taking them temporarily or will you seize them?" Then the narrator mentioned the entire hadith.
