ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ الْمُقْرِئُ ، نَا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، نَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، نَا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ، نَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ رُفَيْعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، عَنْ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : " اسْتَعَارَ مِنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَدْرَاعًا مِنْ حَدِيدٍ ، فَقُلْتُ : مَضْمُونَةٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ ، قَالَ : مَضْمُونَةٌ ، فَضَاعَ بَعْضُهَا ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنْ شِئْتَ غَرِمْتُهَا ، قَالَ : لا ، أَلا إِنَّ فِي قَلْبِي مِنَ الإِسْلامِ غَيْرَ مَا كَانَ يَوْمَئِذٍ " ، .
Umayyah bin Safwan narrates that his father reported that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) borrowed some iron armors from him, so he said: "O Messenger of Allah! Are these with a guarantee?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "They are with a guarantee." Some of them were lost, so the Prophet said to him: "If you wish, I will pay you compensation for them." He replied: "No, now Islam has entered my heart and this heart has encompassed (Islam) more than anything else."
