Sayyiduna Amr bin Yathrabi رضي الله عنه narrates that I was present with the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم at Mina during the Farewell Pilgrimage. I heard him say: "It is not permissible for any person to take anything from his brother's wealth except that which he (the other person) gives willingly." The narrator says: At that time I asked: "O Messenger of Allah! What is your opinion about this: if I find my cousin's goats in front of me and I take one of the goats and slaughter it, will there be any sin upon me regarding this?" The Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "If you are faced with a goat and at that time you have a knife in your hand and something to tie its legs, even then do not touch that goat."
