Hadith 2870

A narrator named Amr has reported this: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) was riding a camel that was uncontrollable; it belonged to his mother. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar could not control it, and the camel went ahead of the camel of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Later, he scolded it, but the camel did not come under his control. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Umar! Sell it to me." Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) bought it. Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) called Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar and said: "It is yours; now do with it as you wish." These are the words of the narration from the narrator named Ibn Abbad.
