ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نَا هِلالُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، نَا الْمُعَافَى ، نَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَعْيَنَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا الزُّبَيْرِ الْمَكِّيَّ ، حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " اشْتَرَى مِنْ أَعْرَابِيٍّ حَسِبْتُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : مِنْ بَنِي عَامِرِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ ، حِمْلَ خَبَطٍ ، فَلَمَّا وَجَبَ لَهُ ، قَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : اخْتَرْ ، فَقَالَ الأَعْرَابِيُّ : إِنْ رَأَيْتُ كَالْيَوْمِ مِثْلَهُ بَيْعًا عَمَرَكَ اللَّهُ مِمَّنْ أَنْتَ ؟ ، قَالَ : مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ " ،.
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) bought something from a Bedouin—I think he was from Banu Amir bin Sa’sa’ah. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) bought a bundle of leaves from him. When the deal was finalized, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “You have the option (i.e., if you wish, you may cancel it).” The Bedouin said: “I have never seen such a transaction before. May Allah bless your trade! Which tribe do you belong to?” The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: “From Quraysh.”
