Hadith 2836

ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الْمُقْرِئُ ، نَا يَعْقُوبُ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ، نَا عُمَرُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ ، نَا حبَيْبُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ حَتَّى تَبْدُوَ صَلاحُهَا وَتَبِينَ ، تَبْيَضَّ أَوْ تَحْمَرَّ ، وَنَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ اللَّبَنِ فِي ضُرُوعِهَا ، وَالصُّوفِ عَلَى ظُهُورِهَا " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: It has been prohibited to sell fruits before they ripen, until it becomes clear whether the fruit will be white or red. The Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade the sale of milk that is still in the udder and also the sale of wool that is (still) on the back (of the animal).
