Hadith 2814

ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ ، نَا أَبُو فَرْوَةَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، نَا أَبِي ، نَا مَعْقِلُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ حَبْتَرٍ الرَّبَعِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " ثَمَنُ الْخَمْرِ حَرَامٌ ، وَمَهْرُ الْبَغِيِّ حَرَامٌ ، وَثَمَنُ الْكَلْبِ حَرَامٌ ، وَإِنْ أَتَاكَ صَاحِبُ الْكَلْبِ يَلْتَمِسُ ثَمَنَهُ فَامْلأْ يَدَيْهِ تُرَابًا ، وَالْكُوبَةُ حَرَامٌ ، وَثَمَنُ الْكَلْبِ حَرَامٌ ، وَالْخَمْرُ حَرَامٌ ، وَالْمَيْسِرُ وَكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: “The price of wine is forbidden, the earnings of a prostitute are forbidden, the price of a dog is forbidden. If the owner of a dog comes to you and demands the price of his dog, then fill both his hands with dust, and if the owner of a dog comes to you and asks for the price of his dog, then fill both his hands with dust. Chess is forbidden, the price of a dog is forbidden, what is forbidden, the price of a dog is forbidden, intoxicants are forbidden, wine is forbidden.”
