Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrate from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): He said, "When a person buys something, taking possession of it becomes obligatory for him, and he will have the option to cancel the deal until his companion separates from him. If he wishes, he may take possession of the item, and if he wishes, he may separate from his companion; after that, he will no longer have the option."
