بَابُ مَا يُفْعَلُ بِالْمُحْرِمِ إِذَا مَاتَChapter on what is done with a Muhrim if he dies
Hadith 2776

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، نا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، نا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " خَمِّرُوا وُجُوهَ مَوْتَاكُمْ ، وَلا تَشَبَّهُوا بِالْيَهُودِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Cover the faces of your dead and do not imitate the Jews."
