ثنا ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبَزَّازُ ، نا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ ، نا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، " أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُفْتِي النِّسَاءَ أَنْ يَقْطَعْنَ الْخُفَّيْنِ ، حَتَّى قَالَتْ لَهُ صَفِيَّةُ : إِنَّ عَائِشَةَ كَانَتْ تَأْمُرُهُنَّ أَنْ لا يَقْطَعْنَ " ، مَوْقُوفٌ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to give this fatwa: women should cut their socks, until Safiyyah informed him: Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) had instructed the women not to cut them. This narration is mawquf.
