Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person performs Hajj on behalf of his parents, it will be accepted from him and from his parents, and glad tidings will be given to the souls of both (i.e., the parents) in the heavens, and that person will be recorded as 'righteous' in the presence of Allah Almighty."
