حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ ، نا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : وَقَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الشَّافِعِيُّ ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مُحَيْصِنٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ ، عَنْ بِنْتِ أَبِي تَجْرَاةَ ، قَالَتْ : دَخَلْتُ دَارَ آلِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ مَعَ نِسْوَةٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَسْعَى بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ ، فَرَأَيْتُهُ يَسْعَى وَإِنَّ مِئْزَرَهُ لَيَدُورُ مِنْ شِدَّةِ السَّعْيِ حَتَّى إِنِّي لأَقُولُ : إِنِّي لأَرَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ ، وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : " اسْعَوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَتَبَ عَلَيْكُمُ السَّعْيَ " .
Safiyyah, the daughter of Abu Tujrat, narrates: I entered the house of the family of Abu Husayn along with some women of the Quraysh. I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) performing Sa’i between Safa and Marwah. I saw him performing Sa’i, and due to his fast running, his lower garment was moving from side to side, to the extent that I can say I saw both of his shins. I heard him say: “Perform Sa’i, for Allah the Exalted has made Sa’i obligatory upon you.”
