Hadith 2583

نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْبَخْتَرِيِّ ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْخَلِيلِ ، نا الْوَاقِدِيُّ ، نا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعُمَرِيُّ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ الْحَجَبِيِّ ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ ، عَنْ بَرَّةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي تَجْرَاةَ ، قَالَتْ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ انْتَهَى إِلَى الْمَسْعَى ، قَالَ : " اسْعَوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَتَبَ عَلَيْكُمُ السَّعْيَ " . فَرَأَيْتُهُ يَسْعَى حَتَّى بَدَتْ رُكْبَتَاهُ مِنِ انْكِشَافِ إِزَارِهِ .
Sayyidah Barah bint Abu Tajrat (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when he reached the end part of the place of Sa’i, he said: “You people should perform Sa’i, for Allah the Exalted has made Sa’i obligatory upon you.” (The lady narrates) I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performing Sa’i, to the extent that his shins became visible due to his lower garment being lifted.
