Hadith 2580

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجُعْفِيُّ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : نا جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " ابْدَءُوا بِمَا بَدَأَ اللَّهُ بِهِ ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ : إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ سورة البقرة آية 158 " ، فَرَقَى عَلَى الصَّفَا ، حَتَّى نَظَرَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ .
Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates from his father (Imam Muhammad al-Baqir, may Allah have mercy on him): Sayyiduna Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, stated: The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Begin with that which Allah the Exalted has mentioned first." Then he recited this verse: "Indeed, Safa and Marwah are among the symbols of Allah." Then the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ascended Safa until he looked towards the House of Allah.
