Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: On the day of sacrifice, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering a sermon when a man stood before him and said, “I thought that such-and-such act comes before such-and-such act.” Then another man stood up and said, “O Messenger of Allah! I thought that such-and-such act comes before these three acts.” The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Do it now, there is no harm.” (The narrator says) Whatever was asked of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) that day, he replied, “Do it now, there is no harm.” The narrator named Abu Bakr has reported this, and only Ibn Jurayj has narrated from Zuhri with these words: “The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering a sermon.” This narration is Hasan (good).
