Ata and other narrators have reported these three matters from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) regarding a person who shaved his head before throwing the pebbles. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Now throw the pebbles, there is no harm; shaving is a part of the stoning, and stoning is like shaving the head." Another person came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: "I performed the sacrifice before throwing the pebbles." The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Now throw the pebbles; sacrificing is a part of the stoning, and stoning is like sacrificing." The narrator states: Another person came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and said: "I performed the sacrifice before shaving my head." The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Now shave your head, there is no harm; sacrificing is a part of shaving, and shaving is like sacrificing." This narration is also transmitted with some other chains, but in them, these words are present: "Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was delivering a sermon to us on the day of sacrifice." After this, the narrator mentioned the hadith as before, in which these words are present: "(That person said) I thought that such-and-such act comes before such-and-such (the narrator has reported these words regarding the three acts)." So the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "There is no harm in it." (The narrator states) These are the three acts, that is, shaving the head before throwing the pebbles.
