نا نا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الصَّفَّارُ ، نا الدَّقِيقِيُّ ، نا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أنا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا التَّكْفِيرُ فِي الْعَمْدِ ، وَإِنَّمَا غَلَّظُوا فِي الْخَطَأِ لِئَلا يَعُودُوا " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Expiation is given in the case of intentional (killing), and in the case of unintentional (killing), a more severe compensation has been prescribed for him, so that people do not do it again.
