Hadith 2440

نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ ، نا أَبُو حُمَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ حَجَّاجًا ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْبَدٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَوْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَيْنَ نزلت ؟ " ، قَالَ : عَلَى فُلانَةَ ، قَالَ : " أَغْلَقْتَ عَلَيْكَ بَابَهَا لا تَحُجَّنَّ امْرَأَةٌ إِلا وَمَعَهَا ذُو مُحْرِمٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A man came to Madinah Munawwarah. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) asked: "Where have you stayed?" He replied: "At the house of such-and-such woman." The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Has she closed the door on your children? No woman should perform Hajj except when a mahram relative is with her."
